The MTX product suite revolves around bringing BTC holders recurring value by enabling native BTC yield and trust-minimized access to EVM DeFi

mtBTC and native Bitcoin yield

• mtBTC is a Liquid Restaking Token (LRT) that unlocks liquid yields for the BTC ecosystem.

• Both BTC and wBTC can be deposited to MTX to mint mtBTC.

• mtBTC holders passively capture rewards through validating Proof of Stake (PoS) chains and Actively Validated Services (AVS) via Babylon and Symbiotic.

• Opt-in automated vaults will earn mtBTC holders additional yield from a variety of DeFi positions including delta neutral funding arb strategies, LP’ing, and cloud mining.

• mtBTC can also be used across EVM DeFi projects that accept mtBTC as collateral to earn even more yield.

Actively Validated Service (AVS) BTC <> ETH Bridge

• MTX will offer a secure, decentralised and scalable BTC <> EVM Actively Validated Service (AVS) Bridge. BTC bridged from the Bitcoin base layer using MTX will be locked and mtBTC will be minted on Ethereum Mainnet that will earn native yield.

• The AVS bridge will utilise Eigenlayer to bootstrap a decentralized and scalable node network to validate and custody BTC bridged to Ethereum. Validators will be rewarded with a portion of the restaking yield.

MTX Intent-based wBTC <> BTC Router

• MTX wBTC <> BTC Router enables the most cost efficient swaps for wBTC <> native BTC across secure liquidity sources (Garden Finance, Thorchain, Binance, Peer-to-Peer)

MTX Token

• An MTX token will also be issued at a later stage to decentralize governance and incentivize protocol growth. MTX holders will propose and vote on key protocol decisions.

• Revenue from mtBTC performance fees and eventual MTX L2 sequencer fees will fund protocol operations, treasury building, growth, and potential token holder rewards. In the long term revenue may be returned to MTX holders via dividends or token buybacks, making MTX increasingly valuable.
